Mill Veenman, Berkel en Rodenrijs, 2003
The raised living area of the villa was motivated by the open vista it creates. The living area is curved in shape, and expresses the idea of shelter on its colder north side. The glass facade, nearly five metres in height, offers dramatic views from the interior of the huge, clouded skies of Holland. The entresol at the back of the living area provides a tranquil spot for viewing the landscape in its totality.
