Klunder Architecten Rotterdam

Plan Tij, Dordrecht, 2004

The Plan Tij development involves transitions between water and dry land at various levels. The houses will be built on four ‘creek ridges’ (old stream beds left high and dry by settlement of the surrounding peat bog when the polder was created). This will create a contrast between the open country along the dykes in the area and the compactness of the development. In the space between the creek ridges, watercourses and stands of trees form a link between the main open country and the dense green margin of the Wantij Park.
